My parents were still married when my father met Mayme. They were co-workers, and she became a family friend. I was about 9 years old. Mayme lived in her parents' house in Temperance, Michigan. One night, after going for pizza with Mayme, we stopped at her house for a visit. That was when I met Pop and Grandma Janet.
