Break a leg tonight!! I am so excited to see the show next weekend, especially after missing "Noises Off". I'll send a greenroom letter then, but for now, have fun on opening night & I'm sure "you'll be swell, you'll be great, gonna have the whole world on a plate":)
In other news, I finished classes on Tuesday, and I just had my last voice lesson. My first final is in 2 hours and I'll be completely finished with my freshman year of college by next Tuesday. This is exciting, fulfilling, sad, surreal, and completely terrifying all at once. I'm really excited to be done with classes and I am so happy with what I've accomplished this year. My voice teacher is amazing and my last lesson was fabulous--I really feel like I've come a long way vocally in the past year, which is, after all, what I'm here for. I know I made the right choice of colleges and it's so good to end my first year feeling so confident about the decision. But, I'm sad to leave my friends and my teacher and go home to a completely insane family for four months, and while I can't wait to see my friends at home, I can't imagine being away from school for 4 whole months. More than anything, I can't believe that I'm 1/4 of the way done with college. I only have three more years to get good enough at singing to have a career in it, and that is extremely scary. This year went by soooo fast. It's funny because I never thought high school went by fast. I mean, in retrospect it did, but at the time, every week felt so long. In college, time seems to go fast as you live it, and its really scary and sad that in three years it'll be over. Oh well, I guess that's life. I'm excited for this summer--I'm going to london in 2 1/2 weeks and im really excited to see everybody! And this year has been amazing--from shows to friends to trips to parties to salsa to football to singing, it has really been everything I could have hoped for, so for that, I feel extremely fulfilled.
Now, off to cram for theory and pray that my fucking allergies get better before my jury on monday.
Also, I just found out that we're doing "Urinetown" next spring! That's right, Betsy, time to transfer to University of Michian.
