"And never, o never, our hearts will range, from that old, old love again"

So, sadly "Patience" has come and gone. Most lj folks probably didn't even know I was in it cuz I update...never, but I was and it was absolutely fabulous. Having not done a show first semester cuz I was trying to adjust to college life, etc., I didn't realize how much I really missed/loved performing until this past weekend. I definitely had my doubts about this production--I'd never done a G & S show before and wasn't really thrilled at the prospect, but I couldn't be more proud of the show we put on. Our directors were absolutely phenomenal!!!!! and being a rapturous maiden was a blast, not to mention such a great acting workout. Its always really important to me to feel that I have grown in some way as a performer from every show, and this show has definitely taught me how to be a chorus member that both stands out and enhances the whole group, and I think I'm also learning how to find that fine balance between not being energized enough and being too big. Perhaps most importantly are the amazing friends I have made through this experience. It feels like STAGE happening all over again, as far as the friendships I'm making, although they're coming much quicker in this case (in STAGE, it took me at least till sophomore year to really feel like i fit in). I feel like once again, I am going to be fortunate enough to have that amazing group of best friends, who I can talk to about anything, and just always be around, as well as those theater soulmates, and I am so excited to have found another niche and so many great new people. Anyways, I'm pretty damn tired from a cast party of hot tubs, vodka, great food and great company, so I better head off to bed.

I am so proud of UMGASS's production of "Patience." It was more fun than I ever imagined it could be, and it was definitely only the beginning of some beautiful friendships:)
