I've had similar problems.

Take the line about my psychotic break, and fighting the cops naked.

"I would've shot my ass. I've never been so glad to be white in my life."

It's pretty obvious that it's a statement on the unequal treatment of blacks and whites by the police.

But all anyone seems to hear is, "Glad to be white."
