I need to stop reading the comments on my YouTube videos
Rooftop put my "Filipino Fear Factor" video up on YouTube and the comments have been amusing. My favorites:
Balut is nasty and this guy sucks ass

I find it funny when people miss the point I'm making. All they see is that I'm mentioning balut in the joke and they tune out everything afterwards.
It's a little like the SUV joke I used to do (back in the early days of urban sprawl, when SUVs were just starting to predominate the suburban landscape) where I described soccer moms' "suburban assault vehicles with the machine gun turrets and the negro detector on the dash." I was at an open mic once at Knuckleheads where I did that joke, and a table of black folks took great offense when they heard the word. The problem was, they had been talking loudly amongst themselves during my entire set, so they had no clue as to the context. They just heard the word "negro" and completely missed that I was using it to underscore the paranoia of the people in the SUVs, not because I was endorsing the term.
Granted, it was not uncommon for rude dumbasses to be in the audience at Knux.
