2006 Survey
1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
I got drunk with my family and made a total ass of myself.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I feel like I attended more baby showers than usual. My family friend Jackie had a baby named Skyler.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Christopher Thrush. Fuck.
5. What countries did you visit?
None! I wish I had visited Japan, England, Canada, and Mexico.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A car. A nice boyfriend. More time with quality people.
7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I found out Chris died. So weird and so bizarre. Also New Year's Eve was particularly nice.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Moving out!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being a better student and not saving moneys.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major. Although once I thought I had polio, and then I had fun annoying my sisters by saying “I think I have polio” way too much.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I really love my sparrow necklace.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Michelle's. For, as always, being a constant in my life that is filled with people leaving me.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
There are a lot of things that I did this year that make me cringe when I think about them. And also F.'s behavior.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Oh jebus. Books, clothes, eating out, anywhere but where it should have gone, like in a savings account. I had fun though, so that's all that matters, right?
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Kill Hannah concerts, road trips, and many other things.
16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
"steady, as she goes" by the raconteurs. "here it goes again" by OKGO. And lots more.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

happier!
ii. thinner or fatter?
people keep saying I'm thinner but I feel very much the same
iii. richer or poorer?
about the same. which is bad because last year i didn't have two jobs.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
saving of moneys, being physically active

wasting time with Joel
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With Sandy and Michael and the rest of the sisters. Fun times all around.
22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
Not really, I think I remained pretty emotionally detached.
23. How many one-night stands?
I don't want to talk about it.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
I've been watching more tv than I usually do thanks to the digital recording device we got with Dish Network. I love the Girls Next Door, Miami Ink, and Heroes in addition to old favorites like the Simpsons and Jeopardy.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, not really.
26. What was the best book you read?
What We Believe But Cannot Prove edited by John Brockman. Always interesting, even when they talk about things that go waaaaaaaaaay over my head [string theory? eh?]
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Devotchka. I’m sad that it took me so long to hear about them.
28. What did you want and get?
The Little Mermaid on dvd! Thank you Joshua =)
29. What did you want and not get?
A car.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Little Miss Sunshine.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Erm, I turned 20 but I don’t remember what I did.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Passing Japanese and psychology. *ashamed*
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
More adventurous. I had pink hair for the first time.
34. What kept you sane?
Good friends, fantastic concerts.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Anderson Fucking Cooper.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Immigration policies, and also gay marriage not being legalized.
37. Who did you miss?
I miss my papa.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Morgan! I think I met him in 2006. I started working at the grille at the end of December 2005, but we didn’t really hang out until this year.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
I never, ever learn.
