Screencaps: Merlin 1x06
In terms of character development, this might be one of my favorite episodes. We get a glimpse of how terrible it was for the people persecuted by Uther's crackdown on magic, but moreover, we start to see what Morgana will become. I kinda hope they pull a Lex Luthor kind of progression with Morgana, where she descends slowly into madness. That would be pretty awesome. More Merlin caps can be found here.

See, why don't I ever get pretty flowers, just randomly? I mean granted, I wouldn't want the killer beetles that come with them...
Merlin looks awfully suave in this cap. What's hilarious is that he goes from that to goofy in the next one.
The 80's were terrible for some people. You use too much hairspray, light a cigarette, and fwoomp, there goes your face.
I adore Bradley James' face. Adore.
I'm convinced that as a young man, Gaius practiced his skeptical, yet concerned face in any available reflective surface for hours on end.
Obligatory Uther cap. Taken out of context, he looks almost plaintive here.
You know, Arthur looks like he's going to wreak vengeance on this practice dummy. And Merlin's face, here -- it's all relief.
Ahh, the classic Not Good pose. Scrambling backwards, and then realizing "Oh, crap! There's fire behind me, too!"
Obligatory shiny!eyes cap. Great googly moogly, Colin Morgan's got long eyelashes.
You know, I'm most interested in the guy behind Arthur here. He looks entirely too speculative.
