Potentially the girliest, quirkiest, silliest cincher you'll ever see

This little cincher is a new and frivolous spin on the idea of riding corsets and girliness. Produced as an article for FR this 23" cincher is now available to buy.

That's right... it's a horse! Within a heart! Surrounded by sparkles! More specifically, it is the horse. Internet points to any non-FR readers who can recognise our equine's famous outline.

Dark taupe and iridescent burgundy silk satins, hand-quilting, swarovski crystals, petite two-part eyelets, hand-finished bindings and an unusual cut... this piece is kind of wild, quirky, distinctive and silly, and I totally love it!

This cincher was an experiment on many levels. If you want to see how it was created (from start-to-finish) and who's words inspired it you'll have to read the article ;-)

The silk satin has a couple of stubborn shallow dents (the memory of wrinkles that I thought I had pressed out, ha!) that annoyingly show up on camera more than in real life. I anticipate they will come out with a dry-clean, but I haven't taken it to be cleaned as it's only been worn for these photographs and I don't want to risk those crystals yet. So I'll leave it to the discretion of its future owner.

Cut reasonably narrow, this is a decorative piece based on standard sizing and would be best for only mild waist reduction. It closes at 23" and so I would recommend it for natural waists of 24" - 27". The trick with cinchers like this (ie: non-tightlacing standard sized designs) is to not lace to your full capability. Wearing the corset with less reduction than normal will help reduce bulge. This piece is really the wrong size for my model Breezer, but I hope you can see the lovely smooth waist shaping.

The exaggerated sweetheart curve at back is an aesthetic I love, though it looks best (in my opinion) when the corset is laced with a smaller or closed lacing gap. That sweetheart back shaping has become one of my signature details, I love it so much!
