flatfoot woes.

I am starting to feel the effects of age catching up on me,
in terms of my physical fitness.
Just like last week, me and Hitomi managed to run a complete round around Bedok Reservoir today,
and I took 30mins, same as last week, while Hitomi took a slightly shorter time.

But the run this time round felt so much more tiring, omg.
I was sprinting in my first few minutes,
feeling so energized, that I didnt even realise I left Hitomi behind,
but halfway thru,I punctured.
and omg, I walked like freaking alot of times!!!!!! When last week I didn't even stop!
sigh.
Only consolation is that I took the same time, which means my initial burst of energy made up for my lack of speed there after.

oh and I realised,
the soles of my feet ached after last week's run.
my calves etc were perfectly fine but my sole was aching,
and that irritating and painful ache lasted for nearly a week.
I am highly annoyed.
It was only today that I found out that it may be due to my slight flat-footedness,
resulting in over pronation of my foot, which caused the ache.
Sigh.
I didn't even had such problems back then when I was in touch rugby,
though I was informed and warned by my physio before that I had slight flat footedness which will worsen if I don't do something about it.
But because it never bothered me much, I never bothered much either.
Now I am thinking if I should do anything, or if there's anything I can do to decrease the detrimental effects!
Buying a new pair of running shoes that support my arch should do the trick,
but that means spending!! ugh.
I certainly feel that I am getting old, no longer as fit and supple, haha!

On a separate note,
briefing for OBS selection camp is tomorrow evening!
I am quite excited to check out my fellow candidates!
To see what my chances are against them!

heading to swim tomorrow afternoon before heading down with weilong to the briefing!
