A traffic accident occurred at the corner of Cross Campus and Osler Drives when a motorist failed to yield at a green light Wednesday at around 2:20 p.m., according to Baltimore County Police.
"A [Jeep Wrangler Sport] made a left-hand turn in front of a [Toyota Corolla]," officer Gary Doucett, of the BCPD, said. "Both had a green light, but the driver of the Jeep failed to yield the right-of-way when making a left turn."
Both drivers were Towson University students, Doucett said.
The Toyota Corolla sustained severe damage to its front-end, including a shattered windshield. The front bumper was torn off and mechanical parts near the engine were visible.
During the collision, the passenger-side air bag deployed. The Jeep sustained damage to the front-right bumper and fender.
No one was injured in the accident, Doucett said.
At the scene, a tow truck driver from Pollards Towing Company was working to remove both cars from the busy intersection, as Towson University Police officers directed traffic.
