A wild Comic-Con appears!!

Anime Expo has already come and gone... it was amazing, probably one of the funnest times I've EVER had at a con. I had been kinda losing faith in Anime cons, and I had been debating whether or not this would be (gasp!) my last Anime Expo... but after funtimes with my sisters and hubby in Artist Alley and lots of cute costumes, I can say with confidence that AX will remain on my con list for a few more years =). Jen and I have even determined that we would like to lead the charge that is Underground Cosplay's grand return to the AX Masquerade next year... how scandalous!! ;D

Anyways, I'm way too busy/lazy to post a full-fledged con report, so I will just link to my sister's con report, as usual (hers are always the best, anyways xD;;).

This month has flown by, and it's already time for Comic-Con! I'm only planning on being there for Masquerade festivities on Saturday (and possibly masquerade playback/annual after-con lunch at Chevy's on Sunday), but from the looks of my friends list I will be seeing a bunch of you guys backstage =D! This year we're going light on costumes and heavy on presentation (a la Greasy Potter):

Underground Cosplay Presents...

I'm feeling really good about our Masquerade entry so far ^__^! Mike and I will be playing Dr. Horrible and Penny, and there are also a handful of various... ensemble members, if you will, which will be played by Jen (miakadesu), Michelle (chichiriko), Eric (blasphamous), Ryan, and Shannon (riceballkirby). My parents will also be helping out backstage this year as ninjas, which should be hilarious and traumatizing for them xD;;

So yeah, costumes are done (minus my last minute decision last night to remake Mike's Dr. Horrible jacket... oops!), audio is finalized, choreography is set, we just need a couple more practices and some props and we're good to go ... hooray!

I must say I am uuuuuber excited about masquerade this year. I think it's pretty evident that many amazing cosplayers have migrated to the Comic-Con masquerade from the cluster frick that is AX, and it seems like this year is going to be even more awesome than ever before. Not that Comic-Con hasn't been awesome before... it's always been my favorite masquerade <3! Truly looking forward to seeing all the entries; it's definitely gonna be a steep competition this year (which I loooooove >:D)!

See you all theeeeeeeere :D!!
