I love school. Have I mentioned that? I'm selling all of my old Interior Architecture crap and buying...what else...BOOKS! Yay! I'm starting to feel settled and it is great, and I found a really great planner at Wal-Mart.
Has anyone else noticed the "I'm better than your girlfriend" trend lately? I guess it's been around for a while, what with the personality of these happy-homewrecker bitches. The whole Yeah, and he's married. I guess she just isn't satisfying him or he wouldn't have to come to me cause I rock...kinda thing. But I got thinking about it because the Pussycat Dolls' song "Don't Cha?" was stuck in my head. I really like the song, but the words, are they serious? I mean...
Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me
Don't you wish your girlfriend was fun like me
Don't ya baby?
Don't you wish your girlfriend was raw like me
Don't you wish your girlfriend was a freak like me big fun
Don't ya?
Must we as women constantly try to outdo one another!? This is why the Women's Liberation movement hasn't come as far as it could, not because of how men treat us, but because of how we treat each other. I just think that this trend is stupid. I mean, sure, the guy wishes his girlfriend was a little more freaky, but she's obviously got a hundred other traits that he really likes that other girls don't have or he wouldn't be with her. The song could just as easily be
Aren't you glad your girlfriend's not flat like me
Aren't you glad your girlfriend's more mature than me
Aren't ya baby?
Aren't you glad your girlfriend's more smart than me
Aren't you glad your girlfriend's not a slut like me no crabs
Aren't ya?
The way women act towards each other, I swear. Give a random girl/guy that you think is hotter than you a compliment...it's insanely liberating.
