I decided to take a break this summer. A break from everything that resembled a routine. I stopped updating my LiveJournal (obviously), didn't get hooked on any TV shows that I just had to watch weekly, I didn't even go to the gym every day at 6 o'clock *gasp*!! As I looked back on the year past, I really just wanted to be free. I decided that I would do all of that stuff that you want to do when you're in high school, but you don't have the means, and you never get around to doing once you're out of high school because you have all the responsibility that comes with having the means. I didn't work regular nights, in fact I took a lot of days off. I stayed up until four in the morning and slept in until one, which are both really late for me. I smoked pot and ordered an entire large pizza just for me. I went to shows and concerts and clubs. I had a lot of really good sex, all over North Carolina. I drank a big fancy girly drink at a Mexican restaurant. I partied. I flirted with other girl's boyfriends, but only because I don't care that those girls were flirting with my boyfriend. I spent lots of dollar bills on lots of strippers. I ate whatever I wanted, mostly at restaurants, I didn't cook much at all. I ran and jumped and played and never looked back. I am not usually a spontaneous person, but I felt so liberated and lucky to have the opportunity to go wild and knew I had to take the chance.
Josh's Grandma gave me these, which was super great.
Hah, choir boy.
MSI was fucking amazing. I have never ever ever been to a better concert. I got to meet everyone except Steve...
...and managed to look horrid in every picture. Just know that that is my shoulder, my chin and my cheek. Heck yes.
The lake trip with Amy and Drew was amazing too. Certainly one of the highlights of my summer.
Somehow they got me (and my fear of fish and water) in this thing...
...and proceeded to go approximately seventeen-thousand miles an hour.
Josh wasn't skerr'd though.
On top of having the boat all weekend and being with my friends and lovah, Amy and Drew brought kittens.
I always manage to fall more and more in love with Josh Lane. This summer made me realize it even more all over again.
I am very happy to be back in school now. I love both of the teachers that I've met so far, and really love having a routine. I got up at 6:30, tonight I cooked a big fancy dinner and gave Josh a back rub and I'm going to buy a planner...and start updating again.
