What's up, party people! For this second assignment during the era of Top's sparkleblock I received Oh Yeah! and I about split my face open with the immediate grin that came to my face. OH YEAH! One of the best concert songs ever!
LET'S DO THIS. I chose 5x10, the RAINY version, because it is epic and I love it. We haven't done a rain version yet and I was worried it'd be hard somehow but instead it was SUPER FUN.
IT IS RAINING. I know I've called it the rainy version like eight times by now but it is really, really raining.
Nino takes this opportunity to shout at the crowd.
AND THEN HE KICKS IT UP A NOTCH.

SOMEHOW WHEN IT'S A LITTLE BLURRY IT IS JUST EVEN MORE AWESOME.

I love how some parts of Ohno's hair are completely defeated by the rain but others are like YEAH WE ARE STICKING UP ANYWAY, SUCK IT, RAIN.
ALSO I NOMINATE LEADER FOR MOST RECOGNIZABLE EXPRESSIONS THROUGH POURING RAIN.
I rarely include caps of the crowd shots but this group! I just have to feel fondness for everyone at that concert, they were such troopers!
Usually when capping, the next frame is just barely different, but the rain means that a click forward could mean an entirely different look! One could be rain-drenched and blurry, another look almost normal, and sometimes the light would catch at just the right angle and it'd be Arashi through a filter of SPARKLY LIGHTS. I mostly chose the more normal frames, if there were any, for visibility, but sometimes I had to go for the SPARKLES. ♥
Nino looked simultaneously pissed off (due to the rain) and elated (due to it being a concert.)
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR CANNOT STOP OHNO SATOSHI'S PEACE SIGNS.
I love that sometimes you can see that Ohno is moving a little gingerly. Oh, the joys of soaking wet underwear.
For some reason the camera(s) tasked with Aiba was the most blurry of all, resulting in very few clear shots of him. This is one of the only ones, and I love it because even if I didn't know that was Aiba I'd be able to figure it out BECAUSE THE RAIN HAS PLASTERED HIS PANTS TO HIS CALVES. Aiba's calves: SUPER DISTINCTIVE.
WITH THIS ONE SHOT THE LACK OF MANY GOOD SHOTS OF AIBA WAS FORGIVEN. It's hard to see because of the light and the rain but that looks like an AMAZING Aiba scrunch-face of joy!
THE MATSUPUFF: RESILIENT. (Can something that wet still be called a puff?)
I love that they still did the concert. I love that they stood out there in the pouring rain, in clothes plastered to their bodies and utterly disheveled hairstyles, and sang their sparkly happy pop songs and danced around. I just love them. ♥
(I also love Nino's JAW AND NECK area.)
It's like no matter how much the rain distorts Ohno's face, his expression is still apparent? I was thinking that he should never be cast as the Phantom of the Opera because even with a mask over half his face all he would look is adorable.
Also he is pretty, and has pretty hands, and has a pretty voice with which he sings pretty songs. OHNO-BAITED FOREVER.
Augh, I love this. Sho sees Nino across the crowd and rain and imitates the way Nino has put his jacket over his head.
ALL THE WHILE WITH HIS FOND FACE FIRMLY ON.
Eventually he realizes that he could never be as cute as Nino (THIS IS STILL SHO'S POV, and to my mind Sho thinks Nino is the cutest, okay??) and goes back to bare head and sexy torso...-ness.
This is the best shot of Aiba I could get. Rest assured that he's bouncing up and down and singing happily, just like Aiba always does during Oh Yeah! ♥

I AM STILL A FAN OF OHNO+BLUR. It's just not that different! IS LEADER'S FACE A LITTLE ROUNDER THAN USUAL: MAYBE.
I am impressed the microphones made it as long as they did! Also I always love Matsujun's enthusiastic and yet dignified waving during this song. As compared, especially, to Aiba's, which uses his entire body and has a whole lot of swish. AIBA AND MATSUJUN, SO DIFFERENT AND YET BOTH SO WONDERFUL.

MOU ICHIDO. We don't get to see Aiba's famed "MOU ICHIDO!! :D" with giant arm pump and scrunch-face grin (ALTHOUGH I DON'T NEED TO SEE IT TO KNOW THAT HE DID IT) but Sho does it pretty awesomely, too. : )

THEN JUST WHEN I THINK IT CAN'T GET BETTER, HE PUTS SOME HIPS INTO IT AND IT DOES.

Haha, at this point I got rebellious and just started keeping blurry Aiba caps.
And yet, you can still kind of fill in the details from what we do get! The first cap above looks like a scrunch-face grin while the second looks like the grin that comes immediately post-scrunch-face which is almost as cute, where it's like he's seeing the effects of his scrunch-face on its recipient and is one-quarter-embarrassed and three-quarters-ecstatic and all pleased with the world and Arashi and the fans. ♥
For some reason I am totally charmed by Nino trying to use a towel to dry his face. I mean, it's not like he's coming in from the pouring rain, he is STILL GOING TO BE IN IT POST-TOWEL.
Maybe wiping the mic off is more logical? Maybe? Anyway, I don't think Nino thought the towel would be of much use but I think that just adds to the charm of him doing it anyway.
SHO'S ENTHUSIASM IS UNDAMPENED BY THE WAY HE IS THOROUGHLY DAMP. <3<3
Ohno's turn to charm me with towel use! Also, I ADORE that one giant blob of rainwater in the middle of the screen. It is a prominent feature of several caps after this one.

He tosses the towel back, and I love that the rain through which we're looking persists in being pink from his outfit. ♥

And then, I love this, touches one hand down to feel the support rail. I DO NOT BLAME YOU, SHO. In that rain I might have kept my fingers firmly wrapped around that rail at all times!
Jun is pretty. (Including his lovely wrists. [How they are different from normal wrists I don't know but somehow Matsujun has lovely wrists.])
And Jun is adorable.
