Not necessarily. Jesus has a history of taking established icons and events from other religions and giving them a new purpose. I remind you that the Last Supper was a Passover meal. Jesus gave new meaning to the bread and wine and it is now celebrated by Christians all over the world. It is quite possible that He is pleased with the joyful atmosphere of the Christmas Tree.
