Well Jan's baby shower was this week. She got a nice collection of little onesies (sp?) and blankets. She even got a little bit of money.
We have reached the point now where if they baby came early it would have a very good chance of surviving. Jan is seeing the doctor every week. They have been talking like they want to take a sonogram every week, but to be honest, that isn't likely to happen. It costs $100 in gas and co-pay to go over to Chattanooga to take a sonogram. That is just plain silly. As I told Jan, women have been having children for thousands of years without sonograms and unless there is a reason for concern (which there isn't) this is just the healthcare industry trying to fleece the insurance for a few extra bucks and we are getting caught in the cross fire. So here is the rub. If we can't afford to make that trip every week, will the insurance coverage lapse?
Don't you just love bureaucracy?
