Packing up for the mission
Tomorrow is the day we leave to go on our summer mission trip. Jan is staying home to watch the critters. For the most part it is just going to be Keith and Debbie (pastor and his wife) and myself. We have about 7 or 8 boys and there must be one adult for every 5 kids of the same gender. Debbie is going along just to keep all us guys out of mischief. The boys are good kids and probably won't get into too much trouble.
I'll be gone for about 5 days. We leave Monday morning and return Saturday afternoon.
Right now it is Sunday afternoon. I have had a big lunch and am sitting on the porch in my rocking chair listening to the quiet. It reminds me a lot of Sunday afternoons at Ma and Pa Loper's farm. It is the kind of memory that is worth closing your eyes and indulging.
