End of the semester craziness

Well, tomorrow is December, and I have no idea where this semester went. School has been pretty busy as of late, and I'm not really looking forward to everything I have to do in the next two weeks. The good news is that 2 of my psych classes don't have a final exam, just a final test (regular exam) on the last day of class in Cognitive, and a project due on the last day of Clinical. Also, I have to turn in a 10-page paper for Contemporary Poetry about Charles Bukowski. If you've never heard of him, his poems are pretty interesting (eg. "The night I fucked my alarm clock). All of his poems are pretty crude and vulgar, but he always manages to make a point in the middle of talking about sex and what a slob he is. I only have a final in Stats and Intensive Spanish Grammar, but I'm sure both are gonna be rough (def. Stats). I guess it's time I recap Thanksgiving...

I got home Tuesday afternoon, and I just enjoyed being home and being able to relax. Megan and I went to the movies Wed. night and saw Casino Royale, the new Bond movie. It was actually a really good movie, and Daniel Craig should have probably quieted his critics with the movie, he's definitely perfect for the role of Bond. I saw Dupont and Farnan and Simon and Buck and several other people I knew at the movies. I hadn't seen people for a while, so it was cool.

The next day was Thanksgiving, and the day of reckoning for Greenwood Meadows. It was the annual Thanksgiving-morning football game between HBurg Meadows and Greenwood Meadows. It was a really tough game, and I didn't do much, I had like 1 catch for a first down, and otherwise our offense basically ran through Andy and Davey. They both had good days. We ended up losing 7-6 (A TD=1 point) and it was on the last play that we lost. It sucked, but they also cheated since they had players from Altoona who didn't/don't work at Greenwood. Oh well, hopefully we can play on Christmas morning, I'd be up for it. After football, I went to Megan's house and ate dinner with her family and some of their friends, and it was awesome as always. Her mom is a really good cook. Then immediately after eating there we both went to my Aunt's house where we ate again. It was a good day filled with food and awesomeness.

Friday was a sweet day because I got to play football again. It was good to see a bunch of the guys again, and the game was actually fun, except for two people ruining it. Derek Rhodes had to be a douchebag and catch 90 passes, only dropping one of them (an accurate statistic) and Don Verobish picked off our QBs 6 times (literally) returning 3 or 4 for TDs. It was ridiculous. McKibbin also had on a pair of sweatpants that belonged to one of his brothers, and they basically were skin tight. I can't believe he could run, and we all got a good laugh out of it. Like I said, the best part of the day was just seeing a bunch of old friends I haven't seen in a while.

Saturday was a pretty boring day, but that night Megan and I went to the movies with Pope and Kim and their other friend (also named Kim...weird). We saw The Fountain, with Hugh Jackman, and it was a pretty ridiculous movie. At first I thought it wasn't that great, but then I started to like the movie a lot. It was sort of hard to follow, flashing back and forth between 3 different time periods. However, it really made you think, and the point of it was actually pretty sweet. I don't have a rating scale based on wings, but I would give it an 8/10. I need to think of a new scale. I also went to El Camp with my buddy Scacco, and the food there was amazing as always. Don Pablo's can never compare to El Camp, and even though almost all the Mexicans at El Camp are gone, the food is still amazing. #5 is the most solid choice there, and you can quote me on it. 2 enchiladas (one cheese, one beef), mexican rice, and refried beans. Mandy is also a sweet waitress, and she's def. the best one there.

Sunday was a pretty quiet day, and I had to come back to school that evening. It's cool, though, because I only have 2 more weeks and I'm home for break. I can't wait for break, it's gonna be wonderful. I love Christmas, and being home and seeing everyone is always awesome. I hope everyone is doing well with work and finals, and I'll have another update soon.

Later Days!
