Update

So I figured it was time to update as to what I've been up to lately. This semester has sucked so far, and my grades kinda suck in my classes. I really need to step it up and not get crushed by my classes. I'm trying to completely overhaul my Spanish skills, because I have no ability to speak, all the blame belonging to Hollidaysburg Area Senior ( Read more... )

Haha I don't know if you remember me telling you my story about that survey. I was told that we got 20 bucks for each year we did the survey. Also, I did Amanda Satryan's in 12th grade, because she was busy, when she agreed to give me 10 of the 20 bucks for doing it. I just took her license and tried to guess what her answers would be (as a result, they probably think that she's an abused drug dealer who eats babies, kicks dogs and once set her parents on fire).

Anyway, during that spring I went to the office and asked when we'd get our money, and they didn't know but put me in touch with the guy that was in charge of it. I talked to the guy on the phone, and he kept giving me the run around, so about 1 week later, after a bunch of calls, I pretended to be my Dad when I called and asked when I was going to be getting the 60 dollars. The guy said that the survey's budget wound up being cut and that he wouldn't be able to pay, and so I said that I signed a contract three years before stating I would receive the money, and that if the guy didn't pay my "dad" would have no choice but to "speak to your superior and threaten legal action."

The guy said that there was nothing he could do, and that he was the head of the study, and so in one of the first acts of rebellion (second, actually; this was a few months after I got suspended) I told him "Only fucking pricks welsch on their promises! Asshole!" and slammed the phone down. I didn't worry, because it was Parker's phone during one of the hall breaks. I was pissed that I didn't get any money, but at least I had some fun with it.

And all the visits to the office meant stocking up on my strapple berry gum supplies. I still have one packet left, for nostalgic reasons. The memories...are delicious.
