So I figured it was time to update as to what I've been up to lately. This semester has sucked so far, and my grades kinda suck in my classes. I really need to step it up and not get crushed by my classes. I'm trying to completely overhaul my Spanish skills, because I have no ability to speak, all the blame belonging to Hollidaysburg Area Senior High. Also, I am getting killed in Calc, which is a ridiculous class. I just got out of class a little bit ago, but today my Calc teacher said, "four minus two is three...wait...did I just honestly say that out loud?" It was funny, and shows what that class is all about. It's mainly like Chemistry with Seigrist...an adequately difficult class with a brilliant teacher who cannot communicate a message to students. My teacher is a really young guy, maybe that's why he sucks as a teacher.
Last night was a pretty ridiculous night. I went to State College with Jeffie, Erica, and Andy. We met Megan and Priyanka there, and we headed off to the Crowbar. We saw 5 bands...The Suicide Pact, Cartel, Gatsbys American Dream, Copeland, and The Starting Line. The Starting Line was freaking sweet, and Cartel was awesome also. Copeland wasn't bad, they're just not really my favorite band in the world. Suicide Pact had like one good song, and Gatsby was probably the worst band I've heard live. They could be equated to Avenged Sevenfold or Glassjaw live...in a word...terrible. Megan told some guy off who was being a fag during Copeland, and it was hilarious. At the time I pulled her away though because I really didn't wanna get in a fight with some huge guy. The Crowbar is a decent venue for a show, but it's incredibly small. I got annoyed during The Starting Line because there were so many people there and it was impossible to move or not get pushed for more than 5 seconds. Plus 80% of the people at the show were fags. I much rather prefer Warped Tour, the outside atmosphere and more bands that are cool, but it was a good show overall. Like I said, The Starting Line was awesome, and that was the whole reason I went. I got to hang out with Megan there also, which was obviously a good time.
Before I go, I need to vent about something I was reminded of the other day, which really irritated me. In 7th grade we were asked to participate in a drug survey for PSU. They told us if we followed through with it each year, we would receive 20 bucks at the end of the survey. Well, senior year was obviously the last year of the survey, and after finishing the mind-numbingly monotonous survey, I was ready to get my money. Well, apparently 20 bucks changed into a 1 dollar coupon for McDonalds. Ridiculous. I tore it up and threw it in the garbage in Solomon's class, and I still haven't forgotten it. That survey asked about 80 questions, and 75 of them were just the other 5 questions re-worded (sometimes) and just repeated. What a bunch of crap, the rewards for finishing the survey weren't even remotely close...gay. Alright, I just needed to flip out about that for a little bit.
Spring Break, March 4-12. Hit up the cell if you wanna hang out. Until then, here's a song that rocks...
The Promise
By: When In Rome
If you need a friend, don't look to a stranger,
You know in the end, I'll always be there.
But when you're in doubt, and when you're in danger,
Take a look all around, and I'll be there.
I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
But if you'll wait around awhile, I'll make you fall for me,
I promise you, I promise you I will.
When your day is through, and so is your temper,
You know what to do, I'm gonna always be there.
Sometimes if I shout, it's not what's intended.
These words just come out, with no gripe to bear.
I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
But if you'll wait around awhile, I'll make you fall for me,
I promise you, I promise you...
I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say.
I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be.
And if I had to walk the world, I'd make you fall for me,
I promise you, I promise you I will.
I gotta tell you, I gotta tell you, I need to tell you...
I will. I will.
Later Days.
