The census database has been live for a few hours. The good news is that nothing has crashed (yet!) and I am up to my elbows in wonderful numbers! I keep breaking out into uncontrollable celebratory applause!

The census is wonderful.

This morning's bible reading included 1 Chronicles 21, where David tests God's patience by ordering a census of all the soldier-aged men in the land. I found this a little bit disconcerting, seeing as tomorrow is the day that the 2011 census database goes live - I've been looking forward to tomorrow for a very long time.
