Public Service Announcement

Garden hoses are sentient beings. They enjoy strange feeding habits, which are hard to distinguish from their recreational games - both consist of trapping and drowning unsuspecting humans. This is usually done by wrapping around limbs and then spraying water (something they naturally produce in large quantities) in the face, but can also be done by wrapping around and then throwing in a swimming pool or other localized body of water.

While the female is green (occasionally with yellow markings), and thus blend in with her natural habitat (gardens and grassy areas), the male of the species can be a variety of colors, including blue, yellow, and black.

Some people have managed to tame these creatures, putting restrictive "nozzles" on their water-spurting mouths, winding them up in boxes or on racks attached to the side of their homes, and sometimes attaching them to sprinkler systems, to make them useful for their every-day life. Others are left to roam freely, tripping and drowning unsuspecting people walking through lawns everywhere.

Please, be careful, everyone. Even these tamed hoses can be vicious. Be on your guard.

house-sitting adventures, silly, we're all going to die!, omg!
