moments that i think are worth making art about
- the part where it starts snowing
- or maybe raining! one time i was in New Orleans and it started raining and my shoe floated away.
- the part where you go 'ta-da'and something awesome happens
- the part where all the balloons and confetti fall on you out of the ceiling and you go yaaaaaay hooray when it happens
- the part where the lion rips the zebra's throat out
- the part where the tree throws it's apples at you (if you are dorothy)
- a stampede
- a tidal wave/tornado (eleanor knows about this a bit more explicitly than i do)
- everyone decides its a good idea to run around naked
- pillow fight
- car crash where nobody gets hurt
ADDENDUM:
i was just on the phone with eric mack. i have all of these little objects; non-funtional guitar that is in my house that i found and painted and filled with ball bearings (this was the way to rescue it's soul), the sticks/branches that i make, maybe the arrows (but mostly painted things and those are paper), but could be the felt clothing too, the quilt, this little pyramid that i drew a face onto, this pile of silver glitter that i have, and thinking about creating spaces outside/the ones i made in the woods with the new ancient architectural idea of shelter and openness and planting flowers in the forest and also this little paper that i have that you scratch off and its black with rainbows underneath and at the top there is a clip with woodgrain that i found outside....these objects and places and situations presented as artifacts of the ancient future culture that i personally am creating....i was talking to eric mack about how if i can present artifacts from my own culture that it can maybe tell other people that it's okay for them to make up THEIR own culture, that i wanted the world to be remade....and as i said that i walked into the computer studio and sitting next to the computer was an article called:
REMAKING REALITY; nature at the millenium.
i don't know if it's going to be any good, but the world is listening to me and giving me what i want. this is sweet.
