weekly update: part tres.....

so it's uh, raining right now. i dont have work, im on call. some new girl working the cashier got stuck working the golf side all morning despite the weather. adventureland sucks. a lot. at least i can update this thing. so sunday was a very exciting day. i slept in, woke up and went over collegy stuff with the parents. then i took a trip over to staples with mi padre and we scoped out laptops and found one that i realllllllllly like. we didnt buy it though, not yet. work that night was as busy as its been all year. aside from break, we didnt go inside once all night. there was still a long line well past 10:00, but even though brendan thought we were going to be there til midnight, we completely rocked at closing and got out at quarter of 11. go team! monday, after sleeping in i decided to begin the excavation project on my room. cleaning on that great a scale is not fun, but in the case of my room it was very necessary. i cleaned out tons of old papers, schoolwork, and college letters that were clogging up all the space. i also redid a couple of the bookshelves, and if im lucky maybe by the end of this week my room might have some semblence of organization to it! (maybe) work that night was on boats. nothing very exciting, a couple boats broke. that wasn't fun. i got out around 1030, went home and relaxed the rest of the night. yesterday was the fourth of july! so that meant i had work. the tourists were especially touristy that day. they were the kind that got all super-excited and way too enthusiastic about the thrilling sport of MINI GOLF. one lady (she happened to be the most touristy and as such was probably the ringleader of the tourist brigade) asked me how much she could pay me to have my work shirt. i dont think she realized it was the chlorine-faded paint covered crappy work shirt (as opposed to the stretched out gasoline stained shirt i also have). i kind of just walked away. there'll be more where they came from and that's what scares me. after work, i went to go visit family for a little bit before going to james' grandma's house down on jerry brown farm road. melissa and spencer were there too. we ate food and james threw little kids off of a dock early on. then we played soccer and it started raining. then we just sort of sat around passing time together until it got dark enough to shoot off our own fireworks. by this time, they had started the bonfire out on this island out in the pond. we could see every local fireworks show from where we were located, it was really cool. lots of explosions + giant bonfire = much fun. we hung out for a little while before going home. i didnt stay up too long though, i was sleepy. sleepy enough to not wake up until 5 minutes before i was supposed to go in for work. good thing i live 2 minutes away. later on today im getting my new laptop! yayyyyyyyyyyyyy. so next entry will likely be courtesy of that. i still miss sarah incredibly much and she's texted me saying she's sick over in alaska, which is sad. i hope she's feeling better by time i post this.
