Disclaimer: in one of my earliest LJ posts I promised never to perpetuate memes. This is because they're usually crap, but sometimes they're worthwhile. Usually if I'm interested I'll comment on the person's post, this time I'll do it on my own but no tagging people in. Feel free to respond if you're interested.
So anyway, 10 books which have stayed with me in some way.
* The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
* The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
* Pyramids - Terry Pratchett (it was the first Discworld novel I read)
* Sandman - Neil Gaiman
* 1984 - George Orwell
* Watchmen - Alan Moore
* Transmetropolitan - Warren Ellis
* Excession - Iain M. Banks
* Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card (yes the author is still a horrible person)
* Underwater Adventure - Willard Price
There are loads more, but apparently there was some sort of "don't think too hard" clause, so this is probably not optimal.
