This morning I had my final exam, Mathematical Biology. Before there are aghast cries of "how difficult that must be!", it wasn't so difficult, except for some overly convuluted differential equations (I sometimes wonder if they are supposed to be testing you on your general maths knowledge, your specific maths knowledge, or both).
So that's it. I'm done. Finished. It wasn't so bad after all, I think I did quite well in my exams, and I'll find out soon enough. I honestly have no idea what comes next; will I be working somewhere? Further study? Unemployed? I like surprises.
Afterwards, all the maths students met up at various pubs, I went to The Tron with some people and had a good time chatting about, uh, football. Later we met up at Ciao Roma, an Italian restaurant directly opposite where I lived, where I had spaghetti carbonara, and we all chatted about, uh, football. After that we headed next door to Aspen, where I enjoyed a Strawberry Daiquiri or two, and then we headed on to The Club.
To all those who I've heard complaining about clubs, you don't know what you're missing. We went to Stereo, which used to be Gaia. I have been there once before, and had no particular intention of going again, but this was my final night with those in my maths year. After queuing for half an hour, during which we chatted about, uh, football, we finally got in. I went upstairs, realised how hot and stuffy and noisy it was, and decided to get a drink.
After 40 minutes of queuing, I was at the front, and still not being served. Some girl had queue jumped behind me, and I heard someone complaining, so when she got served before me I told her firmly that I had been before her in the queue. She told me she thought otherwise, and told her no, I distinctly remember the guy behind complaining about you pushing in front. She told me we obviously had a difference of opinions, so I shouted very loudly at her. I got my drink, finished it and left. I had had more stress at Stereo than during my exam earlier in the day. Give me Neon or Studio 24 any day over that place.
So anyway, I'm home now. I'm looking forward to meeting people at the pub tomorrow for some much need post-exam stress relief.
