I come back from my (awesome, totally refreshing, ridiculous in the best of ways) vacation to:
1) an earthquake throughout southern Ontario
2) the introduction of HST (harmonized sales tax)
3) and of course, G20 riots in Toronto. lovely!
o hi there Black Bloc. thanks for trashing the city! you really got your point across. oh wait.
other than that it's... strange being back home already? it still feels like we just left. I'm not used to talking to people online again ahhh. at least we can go back to driving 120 km on the highway (instead of like, 80 max in Orlando) again 8D
but I can speak for both Dave and myself when I say the trip exceeded our expectations by a long shot and we both had a much needed break. everything really came together for such a last minute thing haha. and of course we met up with some of the friendliest, most amazing ladies you could ever ask to be in the company of during a convention. I think Chai said it best, we totally shattered internet stereotypes. I love you guys so fucking much haha.
I'm not going to get into the day-by-day of the trip just yet, as this is more of a yes-I'm-back-alive-and-catching-up post. we still have to properly unpack and have over 600 photos to sort through aaahh. I'll post up the usual hotlinked-from-facebook photo dump soon but I doubt everything is going to be posted until we get that group photobucket we talked about up and running. that being said, I can send original, full-sized images to anyone who is looking for something specific they might not have gotten on their camera. just bug me about it when the resizes eventually make their way up so you can see what we took :)
