Why do I get into periods of "must post must post" and then fail to post anything for a while? Answer: I am made of failsauce.
In regards to TV shows last week:
did not enjoy House. Too deep, too ridiculous, too wtf House trying to almost kill himself, too anti-religious in an 'in your face' manner, basically. I'm not good at handling that kind of stuff. I can't stand it when anyone is preachy, whether they're an overzealous fundamentalist Christian or an overzealous athiest. It's all the same to me.
Ugly Betty = FTW. MY HENRY LOVE GROWS. Actually, my love for every character (minus the ever boring Bradford) grows. Ignacio home safe! ;_; al;kfjd thank goodness. ♥ And I do not like Gio, for he is irritating and kind of sleazy. I appreciate that they're trying a whole new angle with the Betty love interest thing, but still ... no. I just don't like his character very much so far. Still, I'll wait before making any further judgments.
The Office was awesome. I know a lot of people don't like the one-hour format, but honestly? I enjoy it. :x And I lol'd at the cringeworthy moments in this episode, and I still love Jim/Pam, and I still miss Dwangela, although Andy is growing on me so much.
Catriona, Jenn and I saw Across the Universe on the weekend. It is visually epic, utterly beautiful, and while there are flaws (flimsy plot, pointless characters, multiple false endings), I still enjoyed it immensely. It's made me miss listening to The Beatles. I need to upload my album collection to iTunes. Why haven't I done that already?
Getting a coffee/tea at 11:30am in the student centre is apparently an Olympic event. Or should be, what with all of the obstacles one has to deal with.
And getting a computer at the same time in the library is basically hilarious. Every spot is taken, and there are a few students standing over their specific territories, hissing at anyone who dares to come too close, like vultures guarding over a kill (do vultures hiss? squawk?). Once someone starts to pack up their bags, the vulture!students swoop toward them, talons outstretched, snatching up the computer before anyone else has a chance to invade their territory. It could almost be a National Geographic special.
