reasons and places to live
If anyone can give me a compelling reason to wake up by 10am on a consistent basis I would be very grateful. That's what I need more than anything - just a reason. Whenever I've had a reason to get up shower and go somewhere waking up isn't a problem. That's the exception to a dozen scrambles for the snooze button every morning.
That's all I need. Just a reason that'll get me to stand up for 10 second and wake up.
Maybe it's just my newfound love for the Dresden Dolls but I think that if I were to choose a major city to choose as my hometown it would be Boston. Liberal to be sure but more cynical and pragmatic than the west coast variety. An old city with a history of rebelliousness. Enough intellectuals and working-class people to match my mentalities. Somehow I like that it's most famous sports team is know mostly for it's tragic, infuriating defeats.
The only negative is its Puritan history. 2nd on my list would be Portland, Oregon. 3rd would either be Las Vegas or my present local of the D.C. metro area. After that I'd probably go for somewhere in Canada. Toronto or Vancouver perhaps.
