Dag Nab It!
I've mentioned a couple times that my newest addiction in fanfic reading is Stargate: Atlantis McKay/Sheppard porn. I'm going crazy looking up the best stories I can find. So, of course, I started to have a glimmer of a story of my own to write. Not that I'm a big slash writer, but I can write a kinda funny snarky sexy PWP, I think.
Anyway, I started writing a few paragraphs over the weekend, getting down a few thoughts, working out a bit of the Not!Plot for the story. I figured I'd work a little on it during my lunch hour today, but before I did, I cruised through my flist and what did I find? A story was just posted to sga_flashfic that has a plot close to the plot I was working on. Not identical by any means, but close.
Arrrrrgh!
So now I can't do it. Or at least I have to wait for a while before I can post it because even though it's different it is similar enough to make people think plagiarism!!!! And dammit, it's not. I could just weep. All the pretty boy sex going to waste in my mind.
