Aarrrrgh, weather!
So March was summer and now we're back to winter(ish). It was a cold, dreary weekend, and it's cold and dreary again today. I really had to talk myself into going on my lunch hour walk (that I had to do because I was totally lazy yesterday and suffering from dreary weather blahs and allowed myself to not go to the gym after church). I was freezing when I first went out. The wind was kinda brutal down by the river where I walk. Brrrrrr!
I watched Chopped All-Stars last night, and they had four of the contestants from last year's The Next Food Network Star. I hadn't watched that show when it was on, but I did watch the first 8 episodes Saturday, which were all that the Food Network had up on their site. It was enough for me to get to know the contestants, and to get to hate at least one of them. Who, of course, competed last night.
Dear Reality Show Contestant: When you go on reality tv and proceed to act like a total douchebag, please do not try to play the old and tired, "I'm not really like that" card, because, yes, yes you are totally like that. You know how I know? Because if you weren't totally like that the producers and editing monkeys would not have had the hours and hours of shit stirring and awfulness that we saw from you. And I would love to know why you thought acting as horribly as you did was going to endear you to a potential audience to the point that the Food Network would invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into a television show starring you. Ugh.
