As I haven't watched the last few episodes of Dollhouse, and since it's returning this Friday, I need to catch up. So today on my lunch hour, I decided to plug in my earphones and watch A Love Supreme on the Fox website. I'll try and watch the next two episodes on my lunch hours over the next couple of days.
And here's the thing about Dollhouse.
At times, this show is completely brilliant, and I think it's a damned shame that Fox canceled it after this season. On the other hand, I think it works best as a limited series. I never really cared all that much for the stand-alone Doll episodes, unless there was a healthy serving of Victor and/or Sierra in them. But I've really enjoyed the episodes that move the arc along and pit Echo, Bennett, Ballard, Victor, Sierra, and, increasingly though hesitantly, Topher against Adele and Rossum on one hand and Alpha on the other.
I do think the show could have gone a third season with the war against the Rossum Corporation. As it is though, I'm hoping that the final three episodes really rock the house. And I'm going to miss Sierra, Victor, and Bennett.
