I NEED A SNUGGIE, STAT!

It's 21oF (-6C). And that's just in my office. Okay, that's the outside temp, but it feels that cold in my office. I'm sitting here in a sweater and with my coat draped over my shoulders and I'm still cold. Man, I'd love to be wrapped in a thick, warm blanket with an electric heater at my feet. And maybe a cat or two on my lap ( Read more... )

My hood is so big all I could see was my feet as I walked, hoping no car came zipping around the corner as I cross the street. It's SO cold; way too early in the year. At least it wasn't windy here this morning like it was last night.

I do have a heater at my feet. It's not really helping. :P

Cats are wonderful warm things. Last night I had one on chest and one in my lap as I lay on the couch wrapped in a shawl with a heating pad on.

My JT is like a living blast furnace. He was on my lap last night, and I had to put him down because I was getting heat exhaustion. LOL

I'm glad I was walking with co-workers, because, yeah, no peripheral vision at all.

The only good thing is that the snow flurries this morning didn't amount to anything, but, damn, that wind is killer. DO NOT WANT!

Winter? Not a fan.

I'll second that!

I used to keep one of those inexpensive polyester pile blankets in my desk drawer for days like that. They're lightweight so they don't take up a lot of room and it warmed me up nicely when I threw it on my lap and covered my legs. They can be picked up for under $5 at various places here. They wash up great and come in handy for the kitties as well. And did I remember to say lightweight and cheap? :)

Yeah, those sound like the blankies I can get at the dollar store. The thing is, usually it's way too hot here, and I'm ready to strip down to my skivvies. Except today, not so much.
