I used to hate Ba'al, as one is supposed to hate a bad guy, but I think his snark finally hit my right buttons. I think it'd be funny if he got around to helping the team more often, although I think it'd ruin him if he became a team member or something. I just...like his character. He's a pain in the ass, but much in the same way Vala was a PITA to Daniel in the beginning. And we all know how THAT'S turning out. :D

Ba'al as a reluctant ally is just perfect. He's a great character, and Cliff Simon just plays him for all he's worth. Of course, I hated Ba'al at first too, because, OMG!, he tortured O'Neill to death over and over and over. But he's a great PITA character, and I loved that he was in this episode.
