Christmas shopping today. Yay?

It totally is. It's very self-indulgent. I'll still have to do stuff for my parents, but at least I won't have to deal with the public or my co-workers for an entire ten straight days. Heaven.

Well here in the US, the day after Christmas is known as The Day When Everything Gets Returned. It's a totally horrible day of long, long, looooooong lines of people taking back all the crap that didn't fit, didn't work, or wasn't wanted. ::shudder::

You are preaching to the choir, my friend. I managed to do most of my shopping online this year. Then one quick trip to Canadian Tire, a pleasant lunchtime trek to the Body Shop a few blocks from work, and (other than stocking stuffers), as of 12:47EST, I am DONE!!!

And between Christmas and New Years? I'll be home with the missus avoiding other human contact as much as possible. We'll watch tv and movies, play Scrabble and Boggle, have Married People Time, and write. Not necessarily in that order.

Misanthropy is way under-rated.

Lucky you. I really didn't buy that much, but even at that I'm exhausted (I probably should have eaten something before I sent shopping to give me energy).

It sounds as if you two have a lovely time planned for your vacation. Good for you.

This? Is very true.
