The Chronicles of Mikey Part II
So today, Michael woke up about 6 am. As far as I know, Robert and Michael had bananas and cereal for breakfast and by the time I got up at 830, were playing star wars and had colored a bit of the dragon velvet poster we got yesterday at hobby lobby.
Later on, after making his bed, Mikey teamed up with daddy to play Battleship. He did really well. He makes this face and wrings his hands in anticipation for the number you are going to call out. After that, he drew a picture of animals in a prehistoric jungle and we ate hotdogs and juice for lunch.
I went over to my parents for Father's Day after making chocolate chip cookie brownies for my dad. He opened all his presents, including one that was stock in Ford Motor Company from my brother (my dad owns a 1959 Ford Galaxie just like the one they had when he was little.) We went swimming in their pool with their miniature dachshund, Sofie, who plays fetch in the pool.
Around this time, Mikey and Robert went to Ross, where they acquired a Spiderman hat for Mikey and a set of walkie talkies. Oh the joy. :) They also went to Marble Slab for some ice cream - Mikey's was mint with gummy bears and sprinkles, though he declares he will "never again" have gummy bears in ice cream.
After that, I stopped by Kip's house, where all the cousins were playing together in the play room. Then I went to catch up with Kip. April was gone for the day. Kip ordered pizza (again) for us all to eat, and while the kids played, we played Rock Band. For a while, the kids brought various toys to use as percussion instruments to accompany us. Michael spilled a cup of water on the floor and was super concerned about it. After assuring him that accidents happen, he was super careful for the rest of the night, though he went back to playing with Taylor and making a "castle" for the rest of the afternoon.
We left Uncle Kip's and came home, took out the dogs, and Mikey got ready for bed after some juice and now he is currently reading _Mouse Tales_ with Michael, who is the wind. Kip and April were really impressed to see how well Michael can read. He read the word "fusion" off of a mountain dew can in the store the other day.
Tomorrow we are planning on spending some time at the pool and also going to the library. Whatever else we do tomorrow depends entirely on how much time we spend at the pool!!!!! Tuesday comes the beach!!!!!!!
