updates
lots of stuff has happened in the past week or so, and its tuesday -which seems to be my favorite day to update or something- ha ha, so here we go...
i had a little graduation party for my family... im not very "close" to my family, but it went really well, about 45 people came i think (maybe more) and everyone seemed to have a good time... and most importantly (just kidding...i think?) i got a lot of money, so i am no longer broke...
speaking of no longer being broke, i seem to have found a job! woo hoo! so, its a job where i basically sit at this pool at an apartment complex and make sure that the people who want to swim actually LIVE in that apartment complex, and also that they do not "horseplay"... so i dont know, it will be boring at most times, and at only $7/hr, i wont get rich, but i will at least make sure that i have some money flowing in
heres a side note about my job- when i applied for that (even though my aunt is the one who told me to, and that i would pretty much "for sure" get it) i didnt think i was going to get it just because of how the receptionist was when i filled out the app, so i applied for a few more jobs... one of them is at this child care/learning center, and it actually sounds pretty cool (you can check it out at www.childrensworld.com) anyway, the lady at the romulus branch said that she will know if she needs me by next week, but to apply on the website and it will be automatically sent to all of the centers within a 20 mile radius of my house or something, so there is a better chance that at least one of them will need me... the lady sounded nice, i was moderately optomistic about my chances of getting the job, and all i had to do was wait... but then, i got a call from that apartment pool job, and i went there and i have to go in for a drug test tomorrow (no jokes here please... ;), and i was thinking that i would rather have the childrens world job (not to mention i bet it would pay better)... but now im thinking, that job would probably be mon-fri, 8am-3pm or so... and the pool dude said that the hardest hours to fill are weekends and evenings, so --theoretically-- if that other places calls, i could do both jobs (id be working alot, but i would be doing something i enjoy at the child job, and i would have a good amount of free time at my other job to catch up on reading or planning stuff for student teaching or whatever, plus i would have a lot of money) ah, life would be good then
and speaking of student teaching (like how nicely i transition all of my paragraphs? ha ha), i finally began working on my unit plan (which is due in like 6 days, ha ha) and i finished one lesson plan, which sounds like maybe its not very much, but in this unit, alot of the lessons are going to be quite similar, so i think ive actually done a good amount of work, and it doesnt have to be perfect, so im looking forward to going in there with whatever i have to show the teachers and hopefully get some input on it
