Where to begin?
Well this week was the first week of classes over at the U of O and I am already tweaking out from the amount of work. Audrey, Adam, Sebastian and Devon think I'm insane cuz I am constantly doing homework and I only get about 3 hours of sleep a night. Speaking of which, Devon showed up this week, he is a friend of Sebastian from Sebastopol where they grew up and he has been staying with us (he rocks pretty hardcore and is an awesome beatboxer). Not only that but this dude named Derek joined our posse as well, he lives out of his van. Back to classes though, my philosophy class is amazing, there are three hundred kids in the lecture class though it's ridiculous, but the teacher is phenomenal. I seriously love my discussion leader as well, she is totally chill. My shakespeare class isn't quite as phenomenal but it's still decent and there are only 20 or so kids in the class.
I went to a Toasters show on Thursday night that was skanktastic, I swear ska shows have the best crowd and Monkey and Bruley were both there and I got to meet some of their friends including this really chill kid named Aaron, though he reminded me entirely too much of Darcy.
My dad is visiting as well which is cool, it's nice to see him again, though I must admit it felt strange when he joined our puff circle (though he didn't smoke of course).
I just talked to Sally from Northwest Youth Corps and she's really chill, we will hopefully get together and chill sometime this week.
Last night Derek, Sebastian, Audrey, Adam, Devon, my mom, Skye, and I all went camping by Asea Falls. It was amazing, Sebastian suggested we go on a night hike so starting around 11pm all of us besides Adam and Skye went hiking through the forest where it was like an easter egg hunt in the night, there were so many amazing mushrooms. Some highlights from the hike are us being one big tree swaying in the wind(I was the center of the tree), Sebastian decided it was a good idea for me to carry him and jumped into my arms and we promptly found ourselves giggling on the ground, finding the weird lichen thing that literally glowed in the dark.
Then today we did a pentathlon, this started out by Sebastian giving me a piggy back ride while he was on his bike down to the starting point, this is fun as hell and I think I will make him give me more rides. There we met up with Ken who was facilitating the event as well as his friend Aaron who is an amazing person and I can't wait to get to know him better especially since he only lives a few blocks away. So the pentathlon obviously was made up of five segments, running, biking, swimming, rock hopping, and tree climbing, it was seriously relaxed and very fun, I didn't have a bike so I skipped that section and the tree climbing was especially fun, we climbed this huge old growth tree that was just amazing.
So that was a great experience and I came home and promptly got picked up by Stu and we met up with Kara and Becca which was sweet then somehow the night unfolded to Adam, Stu, Dan, Erik, Jeff, Simon and I all chilling and jamming in my living room when Devon and Sebastion showed up and now Devon is convinced I don't have any friends that are girls... Anyhow it was a really chill night and was ended by Stu, Simon, and I getting free food at safeway and going around stealing 'yes to 36' signs before I just started nodding off and so after hassling me a bunch Stu took me home.
