hello friends,
recently on one of my drives from southern california to northern california, i decided to take a walk down memory lane and listen to through being cool, by saves the day. immediately, i was brought back to a long forgotten time, singing along with old songs and remembering days in high school. the word nostalgic sums up the atmosphere in my car. however, something caught my attention that i had failed to notice back in my younger days. saves the day have some of the worst lyrics i think i have ever heard. honestly, they are terrible:
"i'd buy you lemonade right now
if you were here
then i'd throw it in your face
and i'd listen to you cry"
really saves the day, really?
i guess their lyrics will not withstand the test of time, as the lyrics to free your mind by en vogue have:
"i might date another race or color
doesn't mean i don't like my strong black brothers"
in some none music related news, i will be graduating from college on june seventeenth. this only gives morgan a couple of weeks to find me a marijuana leaf lei. as for the summer, my plans are still up in the air. i am no longer certain where i will be working and living until September. hopefully this situation will soon be resolved.
