Finally back home in CS after an amazing trip. We had such a good time. New Years Eve was a night I won't be soon forgetting (for a lot of reasons). We had a blast at our party despite a few random hang ups earlier in the evening. We rolled VIP that night and, from our balcony, we got a great view of some of the ridiculous/funny things going on down on the main dance floor. You gotta love drunk dancing. Also, Cirque du Soleil-style acrobats hung from the ceiling over the main floor and performed as everyone danced-loved it!
LA was really fun. I was excited to spend some time with Zoey. We took Justin to do all of the typical Hollywood things like the walk of fame etc. and I think he enjoyed himself. I loved the day we spend in Disneyland. The whole park was still decorated for Christmas and all of the lights were gorgeous. We rode all of the important rides, watched the Christmas parade and walked around Cinderella's castle-I felt like a hyper little kid. I liked the fact that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride has been updated with a few animatronic Jack Sparrows and a Davey Jones. I am still dreaming of the beignets we got that night...yum. There were few celebrity sightings this time, but we were in town the night Britney lost her marbles and got hauled off to the hospital. What a mess.
Vacations are fun and refreshing, but there's nothing like coming home and crashing in your own bed. That's all I could think about on the flight back. Justin and I indulged our little sudoku/crossword obsession on the plane (because we're 75, you know) and that made the time pass a little faster. I can't wait until everyone gets back up here-I really need to see the newly engaged Mo! It's good to be back.
