I'll always remember that I had a swingin' time...
Christmas didn't end officially until last night. His clan had their fourth gathering with all of the extended family. I was glad to finally meet all of the cousins he tells me so much about. I had a great time during yankee swap and the big wii tournament. The boys pretty much kicked my butt when we went bowling, but it was still enjoyable. They are a fun group.
I was glad to have him with my family on Christmas Eve. We had a little date that day at the galleria, which included some cutesy ice skating action. It was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Of course, he got rave reviews from the family and friends he hadn't met. I liked having him around for all of our little traditions like Betty's wine and hors d'oeuvres party and the midnight service at my church. It meant a lot to me.
He left early to go hunting yesterday morning and I couldn't go back to sleep. It just doesn't feel right when he's not there. So, basically, I remembered how much it's going to suck when he goes back in a couple of weeks. I'm not going to dwell on that, though. I'm just going to enjoy all the time we get to spend together until then. That won't be hard with all of the awesome plans we have for the week! I got a super cute outfit for New Year's and it will go perfectly with my new bling (he hit a home run with my presents this year). I can't wait to spend the beginning of 2008 with my 2 favorite people. In fact, I have to finish packing so that we don't miss our flight. LA and Vegas, here I come!
