Ran-dumb
Oddly my last few days have been spent with mostly teenagers. I forgot what a truly different species they are.
Again today...and the rest of this week. I will be with teens. 17 and 18 years old that it, not more of the Ethan variety.
My kids mixed with said teens must have swam yesterday for about 4 hours. They had a blast in the pond on the paddle boat. From the balcony I laughed at them until my sides ached.
I'm almost ready for paint and paper in the addition...well, actually I am ready now. We just won't do it until this weekend. Hopefully next week, I can begin filling it up and organizing it all. I never thought this would all happen before we headed to Colorado. I'm really excited. It's odd, it's a quiet excitement...like if I let it really loose, I might lose it altogether.
Can you believe that I am about to have a 17 year wedding anniversary??? Me either! This is the first time in my life where I actually realized that I am NOT old enough to have been married for 17 years! What was the world thinking when they allowed 18 year old kids to get married???
As I watched these teens yesterday I realized that they were all within 4 months of the age I was when I married. I was a little bit dumbstruck.
It's been a good run though...and we still have a blast together, so I think that is pretty amazing.
We're gonna be busy over here...I'm taking pictures of Rachel today...like I am some sort of photographer or something...har! Anyway,that's what I am doing. That and all those household chore type things...do those ever go away?
What are your plans for today? If I didn't have a mundane day in my life to live today...This particular day I would go back to Chicago and forget that I don't live there.
Have I mentioned that I am not particularly stoked about going to Colorado? Oh. Well, I'm not.
