Sometimes surprises are just disasters with pretty packages

I have two thousand forty seven things to say here today so you should probably put on a helmet and buckle up for safety.

I got the most awesome book in the mail that I had THOUGHT was from a secret admirer or some such but it turns out it was just the serial mailer sweetbabyjames2 that sent it to me. I have been supposed to mention him here anyway because the poor boy wants exposure of the LJ kind. But, you guys know I mention him all the time so I think that is sufficient. I don't need boys with big heads under my feet.

Anyway the book is this big old desk reference (from AFI) to movies and the actors and folks who make them. Interesting, I say. And such nice lists. I have to admit my irrational love for lists. I've said it before and I will say it again. There is no need for disorder in the world. Somebody has a pen and paper.

Yesterday at the skating rink as we were all leaving they put on the song "Endless Love" and I promise you I was again an eleven year old under the lights of a different skating rink, couple skating with James. It was such a sweet memory and so immediate. I love how songs can do that.

The guy talking to me about the new addition on my house today was calling it my new wing. It was so funny to me that I almost couldn't suppress laughter. I can't really say why but I will bet he thought I was an epileptic. Wings is a silly way to refer to parts of any home in my opinion but especially just a normal home.

We have such a hectic day planned. At least it doesn't start until 2:30. When it is all over and I make it back home the man I'm married to will be here. I have not seen him in 9 days so I can safely say I'll be glad to see him.

I went to the bookstore yesterday to buy a gift for a friend and of COURSE I ended up buying gifts for myself as well. The most darling little puzzle type book and a couple of new memoir books to finish off this stint of reading. The reason I mention the books at all is this...in the puzzle book there are these little globe pictures with a little man somewhere on the globe and it asks where on Earth is and then names some really funnily named city. It would not be very "me" to put many of the names here if I were just saying those words but these are city names! Sexmoan, Onacock, Bastard, Pis Pis River, Titty Hill. No, I'm not kidding. I'd heard of say Intercourse Pennsylvania but these are all new to me. What I mostly want to know is where these things named before those words had the connotations that they carry today?

Today's forecast is: Hideously humid and dispiritngly heated. Sunshine that could set polar ice caps a blaze. However there is a high chance for nightfall later in the day.

Your mission today (should you choose to accept it)is: To not quite complete any sentence you utter or in other words...

Do you wish that when I ramble on and on I would put the crap behind an LJ cut or just...
