you wouldn't try to put the ocean in a paper cup...

So I'm taking a study break... I have about 10 gazillion things to get acomplished this week, and I don't believe that I'm going to be able to get them all done before I go home... so oh well.  I'm squashing my type-A personality tendencies and saying fuck it.  It won't be the first time I pull an all nighter to write a 20-pager, and it probably won't be the last either.

Some things I'm looking forward to:

Washington D.C. next semester! Dr. Konda pretty much told me I had the spot... and I'm uber-psyched.   An internship with a women's interest group Mon-Thurs 9-5, living only a few subway stops from the capitol, and living in an apartment complex with (hopefully) some cool people... what shouldn't I be excited about.  I have my foot halfway out the door...

Florida with Dee in the end of May, followed by the Gotta Get Gone.  I had a lot of fun with Dee in Cali, so I'm sure we'll have a blast, and then the ggg is always something to look forward to.  I miss my home friends like whoa.

Some things I'm not looking forward to:

Taking the LSATs and deciding what I want to do with my life.  I've been second guessing myself over the law school decision lately and I'm hoping that the internship next semester will give me a better idea of what I want to do.  Or I could just flip a coin.... I'll probably be better off that way at this point.

Finding a job over the summer that doesn't make me miserable.  It's a lot harder of a task than it may seem.

Other than that, life is generally stressful.  I'm going home this weekend for Easter.  It's kind of sad to think that on last year's Easter both Nana and Poppa were living, and it was the last time I saw Poppa alive.  Even sadder to know that there's not going to be a family dinner, because the family is fragmenting.  So we've become one of those small pathetic families that go out to brunch for Easter instead of having a home-cooked gathering.  I'm going to try not to let it bother me.... yeah....
