un certain stade

Josh and I spent Memorial Day weekend in St. Louis. We went to a baseball game and visited a few friends. The weather was wonderful. If you don't already know it, I love Busch Stadium and am very sad that it will be torn down at the end of the season. To me, that's something very American. As soon as something costs too much to maintain, it is destroyed and something new is built instead. To me, preserving such a beautiful and unique stadium would be worthwhile. What I like the most about it are the 96 arches on top that mirror the Gateway Arch. I adore the shadows they make on sunny days. A while ago, they started to sell stadium seats (pairs of them). I know Josh wanted some, and told him we could buy them, but he thought it was too expensive ($470). Over the weekend, I think that going to the stadium made him think again, and I told him I really wouldn't mind buying them (we would both put in half of the money) since I also love the stadium, and think it'd be a cool item to have. So we bought them! We don't know which ones they are. They'll be shipped about 4 weeks after the stadium is torn down.

Here's a picture I took on Saturday inside the stadium. I love those shadows.
