Yesterday was my last skating lesson before September. Yes, once again, the rink closes for the summer, and it makes me so sad. I love these goose photos! I have never met a goose that was that feisty... usually around here they follow you around looking for food because people feed them all the time.

I'm generally a little scared of geese because they can react in unexpected ways. But I just love watching them, and they gave me quite a show yesterday. The funniest goose story was when Josh and I started going out together. The UMSL campus (University of Missouri-St. Louis) is full of geese, and we were walking among them one day. Josh was eating potato chips and started giving some to the geese who went crazy for them. They started chasing us, and looked like they would do anything for those chips. Josh threw the bag of chips in my hands and ran away leaving me all by myself with the scary geese. This made me laugh more than anything else. I think I tossed the chips in the nearest trash can and ran as fast as I could.
