With One Eye Open
I am just barely here...trying to stay awake until Stephanie gets home so we can watch The GG. Yesterday turned out to be quite interesting. My singing lesson went well and then I stayed for dinner and hung out with my teacher and her mom and sister. They are such a bitchin family. Brianne, my teacher is only 19 and has an amazing voice and is an incredible song writer along with her 14 year old sister. Their mom is way cool as well and is only 38. So, I am 10 years younger then the mom and 11 years older then my teacher. It`s crazy. They made delicious cous cous with hummus, carrots, and string beans. It was great. We ate outside, the weather had just started to cool down, the beach was beautiful. Then I rushed off to Silverlake to hang with Lu. He is going through a lot right now and it is hard, emotionally, for me but I am happy he feels he can confide in me and I want to be a good friend to him. We went to a dive bar, then to The White Lotus to shoot pool. That place was so funny. We had been there once last year and the bartender remembered us. It is mostly Spanish and Vietnamese that hang out there. An old guy, Jose, was in a corner getting a haircut and then refused to remove the cutting cape. He was walking around the bar in the 100 degree heat with the cape on. It was funny. Then we played a bunch of stuff on the jukebox like Pink Floyd and old Madonna. There was a scary drunk girl who decided to dance with herself in the mirror to the Madonna and Blondie songs. It was straight out of the movie Gummo. Then we moved uptown to a cooler crowd in Los Feliz at the Big Foot Lodge. I really liked that place and the people there. It was Karoke night and we saw some good stuff. Then we went for food at the 24hr place simply called Mexico Tacos. I had never experienced "tiny" tacos before...they were the size of the bottom of a soda can so we each needed like 5. They sure were good though. By the time I got home it was 3:30am. Needless to say I did not want to get up this morning and am looking forward to going to bed tonight. I had a not so busy day at work, which I was thankful for. The rest of the week is busy though...yay...and I get to see
rockingirl on Friday. Thats way cool. Tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo...what`s everyone doing? I am going to The Silverfox in Long Beach for gay karoke.It should be interesting. I love the gays. What a nice and fun bunch of people.
Oh yea...I had a sexy dream last night...it was very interesting. I love dreaming and am very intrigued by the many theories of their meanings.
Ummm...I just finally made my enchilada bake. I will have it all week!
I really want to travel around and see places like Chicago, Seattle, and Portland. Maybe I am meant to be somewhere else. I really like where I live but I am fascinated by the way of life in these other places. Hmmmm...
