Today, a whole load of students marched right out of their schools and colleges and into the centre of town, as a protest against the now-inevitable. Some of them, perhaps misguidedly, started 'improving' on the plan to just sit in the street and block the traffic, and began banging on bus windows and things. The riot police got called in.
And I'm more glad than I can say that that was it. It gave me a much stronger appreciation for how... easily horrible things can happen. It wouldn't have taken much for a whole load of people to get their heads kicked in.
If you'd like to know how I'm feeling, then I think
this more or less gets it dead-on.
In other news, I need to MAKE myself finish my work before 2am. It's not good for me. I am,
however, actually eating breakfast on a regular basis for once, though. My English teacher told me he was glad I was in his class. (Huh, he seems to be making a habit of being surprisingly nice to me recently. Oh sheesh, that probably means the 'let's all worry about Katie' bug is going around the teachers again. Great.) Oh, and I did some editing for the extremely lovely Katinka, which was good fun. She rocks.
Anyway, since I'll need distraction from a rather deadly dull piece of research, how about questions. If there's something you've always wanted to ask me, then go ahead and I'll see what I can do.
