I have moved to the "talking sounds both painful and gross" stage of having a cold, and the news is all about how legal aid is being destroyed and also Prince William is getting married (THIRTEEN PAGES on this in the Telegraph today! THIRTEEN. Nobody's wedding needs 13 full pages of coverage, especially WHEN IT HASN'T EVEN HAD A DATE SET YET. anyway) so here is a post of some things which don't make me want to punch people.
Like, even though the last two eps have been Daddy-issues-a-go-go I am still very very pleased with them because: Tim has been HOT and AWESOME and Ziva has been HOT and AWESOME.
I love that Tim has been rolling with things that early on would have been more of a big deal, and that the overwhelming impression this generates in Hi Me And Tony Are In Fact Married, Thanks. ♥ I love that they remembered Nutterbutters and Tony noticed and I love that Tim says Tony should still be terrified of his kind and I love THEM. They are Happymaking. And totally plausible - the bit where Tony doesn't want his dad to stay with him works anyway, but it is SO possible to read that whole awkwardness as "I know I've got to tell him about Tim sometime but I kinda don't want to but Tim wants me to and if he's in our house he will KNOW and I'll have to share space with him". :D :D And oh, they're remembering that Tony is a geek and Tim is smart and competent and can go through doors first with a gun, and I love that too.
And Ziiiiva, she has a passport! And wore a slinky dress and kicked ass and then this episode had a weirdly queer moment in the bathroom with her sort-of-clone! It was cool. (Much cooler than the weird stuff they're doing with Gibbs which, o_O and no.) I hope they keep remembering how great Ziva is and that she has connections and can do stuff the rest of the team can't; her background IS different and that's COOL and do stuff with that, yes. Though having less of it be about her dad specifically would be good maybe. You'd have to have a makeout next week to pay for that. *g*
I know no spoilers but I do think it's going to be sort-of-clone who is the "enemy domestic" and that makes me weirdly sad. Cause she's hot. *embraces own shallowness* But even if that's true we still had ladies taking out terrorists and Abby being adoooorable and Tony canonically thinking that shagging a teammate is serious and Ziva being "our David" and yaaay. ♥

VIOLIN COVER OF LADY GAGA, I AM SO TOTALLY, TOTALLY THERE.
They totally found bits of Richard II in a freaking box at the back of a storage room in the National Portrait Gallery. No really. (and we don't need arts funding because obviously no-one ever learned anything useful from looking through this stuff oh no right shutting up now)
Finally, I gave in and added The Middleman to my
yuletide offers. I am both slightly bricking it and gleeful, as ever. Eee! I am probably going to be bouncing between excited and "oh my god the servers are going to die and it will be awful" from now til January, people, I warn you. *g*
Oh and also I want to pimp the
Dark Agenda Yuletide challenge, because even if you don't sign up officially, it's a way of raising the profile of a bunch of characters who otherwise get easily overlooked by white fandom.
