Okay, so I love that my show just had Tim CANONICALLY CONFESS TO HAVING FALLEN IN LOVE WITH TONY. I just. I can't even. I don't CARE what the creators thought they were doing there, they GENUINELY HAD THAT IN THE EPISODE. AHAHAH.
(And okay Tony was pretending to be a woman at the time, but it still entirely counts, given context. Heeeee and LOVE.)
I loved that it was entirely obvious Tim had Done Something to Tony's chat screen and it was driving Tony batty, and I loved how very very pretty Tim was this episode, but the rest of it was all about Abby, who is the best and has a PARASOL and THE WORLD'S MOST ADORABLE PYJAMAS and also has major angst which is setting up for the season finale and makes me flail a little. OMG.
Oh and Abby and Tim are the cutest bffs-who-used-to-shag ever and I love their relationship: they have lines, and they navigate them like reasonable if very geeky adults, and the fact they used to sleep together and still have a lot of those same feelings isn't a bad thing or even stop them being super close. It can add a level of awkward, but in a way they can deal with, and I LOVE THAT. And they finally brought up the conflicting couch-in-Paris stories and nobody freaked out or anything, and I like that too, although I am Slightly Nervous as to whether it might be implying things for future Tony/Ziva, which I do not buy at all at all excepting I guess maybe one drunken night which Ziva would undoubtedly rip Tony to shreds over FOR. EVER.
I also love Ziva and her mocking awesome ways, and how really spectacularly gorgeous she is. And she had useful information to give Gibbs TOO and beat Tony at his own you-might-tell-Gibbs game and I love that.
... very nearly as much as I love Tony's "Can I get back to you about that?" response to the OMGWTF Declaration Of Love. It seemed genuinely like he didn't mind, he just didn't want to have that conversation in public, and I go glee.
Also:
I am totally convinced Rory is some kind of alien or time traveller or something, and this episode cemented that. It's maybe petty, but I think the fact that Rory immediately went "a different dimension!", when everyone else ever has gone "it's bigger on the inside?!" does mean something. Amy is somehow super important and he's her fiance: he could be a random completely unrelated contemporary person, but when you've made the whole overarching plot about how weird stuff is going on with your Companion and then invited her fiance-with-dodgy-nametag on board, I think that equals Shenanningans.
I did like Amy/Rory, actually. I liked that they seemed genuinely affectionate and had conversations. If it turns out he was faking - or somehow had a fake/other consciousness involved? cause it does seem like if something is Up then he doesn't consciously know about it - then I will be kind of sad. If he's an alien timetraveller or something, I want him to be a genuinely-fond-of-Amy alien timetraveller.
This may also be because I don't want Rory to be Mickey 2.0, but still. (Also I sadly suspect that as Rory is white, this is rather less likely. Sigh.) And hey, if he isn't an alien timetraveller or something, he reads up on Doctor Who science! Aw!
I did love that Gilbert from Being Human was one of them, because I love any chance to laugh at the phrase 'Gilbert fun'. These are the little things that entertain. *g*
And I liked the ridiculous vampires-oh-wait-they're-ALIEN-FISH plot much better than the previous few. It's the sort of silly that Who does well, and while I would very much prefer it if all the brown people didn't inevitably die, I liked that said people were pretty cool. And I am looking forward to next week, which is totally one of those which will be great or Suck Mightily.
...wow, my abuse of the shift key seems to get exponentially worse as I get tireder, sorry about that. Anyway, other stuff.
It's Stephen Colbert's birthday, and I just discovered
he and Hugh Laurie have major love, and it's adorable. My geeky objects of affection liking each other is such a good thing in my world. :D
People wanting new-Prime-Minister-finds-out-about-Ministry-for-Magic fic - which I accept is not all of you, despite this occasionally confusing me :) - should check out
HERE, because it is awesome. No, really, more awesome than that.
(This is useful as it helps take my mind off the fact our new Equalities Minister doesn't think I should have rights, and also
rich white dudes are an even bigger percentage of government than before.)
I meant to link to the
XKCD colour survey results before but forgot. I have now, though, because I genuinely find them kind of fascinating.
How are you lot?
